Co-Instructor: Julie Rothschild
Independent Dance Artist and Movement Educator, Choreographer and Director, Alexander Technique Teacher and Personal Trainer, Nordic Ski Instructor and Mother of Boys.
The first winter we lived in Boulder, CO, I realized that the Nordic skiing I have done for most of my life needed a serious overhaul. I signed up for the Women’s Program in 2010 and for the next few seasons, “studied” the art of Nordic Skiing with Eldora’s masterful teachers. I say “studied” because I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to understand the ins and outs of the techniques well enough that I could eventually ski with ease and even become a teacher. Rather unbelievably, Eldora hired me in 2014. So here we are!
I continue to learn and experiment and play with Nordic Ski Technique – it never gets old! I find that my training in dance, athletics and my work as an Alexander Technique Teacher and Movement Educator give me particular insights for working with my own skiing as well as that of my students.
I never stop working on my technique, even in the heat of the summer. Balance and strength exercises that are good for skiing are also good for everyday life!
An Alexander Technique Teacher since 2007, professional dancer since 1991, and all around movement enthusiast for all of my life, I am excited to be co-creating a program to help women build strength, improve balance and coordination, and ski with confidence and grace.

Co-Instructor:  Siga Andrew
Ergonomics Educator, Physical Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainer, Nordic Instructor, Mother of Girls. Having moved to Boulder in 1996 where the real Nordic ski terrain is, I thought I had it all figured out…until I enrolled in Eldora’s Women’s Program in 2006 and realized that muscling through skating was very inefficient.  Luckily, I caught on fast and found a passion for passing this knowledge on. With my PT background, I knew exercise for better Nordic skiing could be developed and I experimented with various things in the gym. I was invited to interview and landed a spot with the coveted Eldora Nordic Staff in 2007.  Being able to wrap my passion for teaching, Nordic skiing, and physical therapy all into one job is a slice of heaven every winter.
Having co-taught several groups with Julie in the past few seasons, we both saw a need for giving clients a stronger start to the season.   I am honored to partner her skills with mine to create a Nordic pre-season program that will target specific strength, balance and flexibility so that, as she says, you can ski with grace and confidence!

Blind Family Constellations

EITW-Linda-Hogan-Ancestors-quote.png

We are each so much more than just an individual.

We are an integral part of the soul of the universe.

Teacher - Jackie Ames

Zooming back in: we are also an integral part of the soul of our family. And in this culture, we generally have no idea how much that influences us.

The stories of our ancestors, the generations that came before us – these stories live in us in a very real way. And they can either empower and enliven us, or we can live helpless to unconscious entanglements with their fate, sacrificing our own well being.

Or, as constellations facilitator Andrea Largent asks: “What if the issues in our lives are doorways to resolving patterns in our family system going back generations? What if the problems we face began not with us but with those who came before us? What if we are putting their stories ahead of our own? What if, by making peace with our ancestors, we bring peace into our lives, engage in living our lives to the fullest, and clear the path for our children as well?”

Constellation work is a wildly experiential means of discovering just how connected  we are to our families, our ancestors, their stories, and each other. More than that, it can potentially shift patterns you’ve been struggling with for years, even if you never thought they had anything to do with your family.

During this powerful day long workshop, we will bring to life the hidden dynamics of 3 or 4 participant’s families, and see what is ready to change and heal. This work is about trust. For those of you familiar with Constellations: we will work blind. That means the only person who knows who is representing who is the client. Not the facilitator, not the representatives. We step blindly into the process and trust the innate healing intelligence of the family field. Nothing is forced. Magic unfolds.

If you’ve never seen this work before, feel free to get in touch for a conversation before you attend.

Note for those of you who know me as an astrologer: This is not astrology! It’s a totally different kind of “Constellation”! Confusing, I know.

Saturday, September 1st, 10AM to 6PM

Representatives: $35 ($25 Early Bird, before 8/26/18)

Clients: $125 (includes a 30 minute pre-constellation conversation and a 30-45 minute post constellation integration session)

3-Part Series: Supervision For Bodyworkers

Supervision For Bodyworkers & Movement Therapists

3 Classes - June 11, June 25, and July 9th - 1:00 - 2:30 PM

Teacher - Liz Stewart

In working closely with our clients we may have questions best addressed with a trained supervisor.  Questions like “how do I raise my rates without upsetting my clients?”, "how do I work more efficiently/effectively?", "how do I take care of myself?"

In the UK supervision for certain types of bodywork has been required in the first 2 years of practice as transitional support. The landscape is shifting: many practitioners have expressed a need for supervision’s safe, professionally managed space to collaboratively explore work quandaries and to develop professional confidence.

My aim is to guide you to greater reflection, awareness, and understanding to support your self, practice, business and re-energize your work.

You must be registered for all 3 classes to participate
